EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE 2011

The PHCCI held its 2010 Annual General Meeting on Tuesday November 26th, at the Chamber Function Room.

With guests including Mayor Kelly Howlett and Tom Stephens MLA, the AGM outlined the achievements of the PHCCI including Port Haven and the Business of the Year Awards. Treasurer Alan Balle delivered a positive audit report with the Chamber making a profit of approximately $97,000 for the financial year.

The Chamber will be focusing on improving services available to businesses in 2011 as well building on their current partnerships with major stakeholders.

GEARING UP INVITATION

The Town of Port Hedland will be holding their next Gearing Up! sundowner on Thursday November 4th at the Civic Centre, from 5.30pm to 7.30pm.

This event will give everyone a chance to meet the TOPH land partners  - Department of Regional Development & Lands, Department of Housing & Landcorp, and learn more about how these agencies are working with the Town in developing Port Hedland into a Pilbara City.

Elected Executive Committee
Our Executive Committee comprises of local business people dedicated to dealing with local issues on a voluntary basis. The Committee meets monthly to review and oversee the Chamber's operations and determine its future in the interests of all members.

Our Objectives

  • To watch, protect and promote trade and commerce in Port Hedland.
  • Undertake projects that will benefit the Port Hedland business community.
  • Advocate for and provide a voice for local small business in relation to government regulation, policies and charges.
  • Provide networking opportunities amongst members and between local, state and commonwealth governments.
  • Assist in the provision of adequate training and presentations relevant to member businesses.
  • Increase the profile of member businesses by acting as your marketing partner.
  • Encourage the Port Hedland business community to promote strategic alliances and a buy local attitude.
