The Pilbara Development Commission (Commission) is pleased to release the Pilbara Regional Investment Blueprint (Blueprint) for an eight week public consultation period from Monday 13 April until Monday 8 June 2015.

The Blueprint poses a vision for what the Pilbara could be like in 2050, identifying transformational opportunities that have the potential to drive growth beyond current trends. The Commission invites you to provide feedback on how we can shape the Pilbara’s future.

The Blueprint is in two parts – a Summary Report highlighting the key points of the Blueprint and a much larger, comprehensive Technical Report which contains extensive data, research, evidence and analysis which forms the basis of the vision, and identifies pillars and opportunities.

Both Blueprint documents can be downloaded from the Commissions website. The Commission is receiving feedback in the following ways:

  • written submissions;
  • online survey;
  • five public workshops to be held in Perth (8 May), Karratha (11 May), Tom Price/Paraburdoo (12 May) Newman (13 May) and Port Hedland (14 May).

If you would like to attend a workshop, places are limited so please RSVP to blueprint@pdc.wa.gov.au. Further details of the workshops are provided in the flyer. Workshop participants will be encouraged to read the Technical Report prior to attending.

Should you require any further information regarding the Blueprint please contact Gina Smith-Tana, Communications Officer, on telephone 08 9173 8409 or via email gina.smithtana@pdc.wa.gov.au
