The
Port Hedland community will have an opportunity to view a pre-release screening
of RED DOG: True Blue
at the Civic Centre Gardens next week.

The much awaited prequel to Red Dog, will be screened on Monday, December
5, 7pm, with all community members invited to the free event. Bring along a
picnic, rug and deck chairs and enjoy the sunset prior to the movie. There is
strictly no BYO allowed at this event.

RED DOG: True Blue
follows the early years of Red Dog – the friendly kelpie famous for roaming the
Pilbara throughout the 1970s.

Starring Bryan Brown, Levi Miller and an ensemble cast including Justine Clarke
and John Jarrett, RED DOG: True
Blue
is an iconic Australian story of family, friendship and
adventure, between a young boy and a scrappy one-of-a-kind dog that would grow
up to become an Australian legend. The film was shot entirely in the North
West.

The screening will be presented thanks to the Town of Port Hedland and Pilbara
Development Commission, and is part of an exclusive Pilbara road show prior to
the national launch on Boxing Day.
