Come along to the next exhibition opening at the Courthouse Gallery on Friday, March 28 at 6pm! Featuring textiles and paintings from everyone’s favourite artist, Helen Ansell, as well as some very talented Indigenous artists from the Warralong community, the Karntimarta Brush Artists.
Helen was the overall winner of the Hedland Art Award in 2011 with her piece Milling in Millstream and this year took out the People’s Choice Award. Her work explores the natural landscape, flora and fauna of the Australian bush. She has teamed up with a textile artist, Peta Riley, to deliver a range of artworks and installations on both canvas and fabric.
The Exhibition Opening in itself will be very exciting with attendance from Claudia Karvan (Secret Life of Us, Love My Way and Puberty Blues).
