Vibrant Regional Businesses is a community-led investment program developed by Horizon Power in consultation with regional Chamber of Commerce and Industry groups. The program is aimed at supporting the post COVID-19 economic recovery of small businesses throughout regional Western Australia.

Noeleen McCann, East Pilbara’s Retail and Community Manager for Horizon Power said the Vibrant Regional Businesses program was all about meeting the needs of the community’s local small businesses in ways which will best support them in their post COVID-19 business recovery.
“Our team has been proactive in contacting our business customers throughout COVID-19, and we recognise that as we move through the recovery phase businesses will continue to face difficult times,” Noeleen said.

Port Hedland Chamber of Commerce and Industry is one of the recipients of the initiative, and will receive $30,000 to support the delivery of their Digital Innovation Fund.
Claire Boyce, Chief Executive Officer of Port Hedland Chamber of Commerce and Industry said they were delighted to partner with Horizon Power in offering Port Hedland businesses access to a range of digital innovation services.
“This Fund will offer digital literacy support and training to existing micro and small businesses who have been adversely affected by Covid-19,” Claire said.

“We are eager to assist small business owners and operators in developing their innovative concepts and ideas into reality by building their digital presence and capabilities.”

With the digital economy changing the way communities do business, interact and live, the objective of the Digital Innovation Fund will be to support small businesses who need to develop an online presence or update their existing online presence.

“Businesses who meet the criteria will receive training and support, such as website design, branding, e-platforms and search engine optimisation,” Claire said.
