PHCCI MEMBER VISITS

This week, Scott and Tina met with new Chamber member The Hon. Julie Freeman MLC, Shadow Minister for Road Safety and Creative Industries, and WA Nationals President. She was joined by Party Leader Shane Love MLA, Shadow Minister for Regional Development. Their visit to the Pilbara focused on key regional issues and the party’s short-term goals for WA. As the region’s MLC, Julie has opened a new office in Karratha and plans to be a regular visitor to Hedland, supporting local events and advocacy. With her lived experience and proven commitment to fairness, she brings valuable skills to serve not only her community but all of WA. Julie began her regional WA journey as a graduate teacher in Mullewa, where she started a family and embraced the mindset, “How can I help?”. With over 30 years of community involvement from local groups to boards in Geraldton and now as State President of The Nationals WA, she continues to live by that principle. We warmly welcome Julie to our Chamber and look forward to working with her and Shane to enhance Hedland’s livability and economy.
