On the road thanks to Port Hedland Mazda Beep Beep

The PHCCI team have been out and about this week visiting members.

Tina and Jenni went down to the marina for the Grand Opening of The Kurlu Kurlu Wirri (Little People Play) Park.

The Town of Port Hedland secured a $4 million grant through Lotterywest to design and build the playground which will be a key feature of the precinct. Kurlu Kurlu Wirri is an interactive, adventure playground for children and families. The playground includes five large shade structures as well as native trees and shrubs and wetpour rubber softfall surfaces in play areas.

Bring the family down and enjoy this amazing new space right by the marina. Congratulations to the TOPH for delivering an amazing precinct for our community.

Safe Style are available to purchase locally at Hedland Eye Care and Thorny Devil Access + Industries .

SafeStyle’s recycling program is designed to reduce waste and keep protective eyewear out of landfill by giving old and broken safety glasses a second life. Participants can drop off any brand of protective eyewear, at participating drop-off points. These items are then sent to specialised recycling facilities in Australia because the polycarbonate and nylon materials used in safety eyewear can’t be recycled through standard household bins but are highly recyclable when processed correctly.
