PHCCI Team Traveled to Utah Point for Exclusive Member Visit with Qube
This week, the PHCCI team Tina, Jenny, Jonathan, Robyn and Ashlee headed out to Utah Point to meet up with the Qube team for a special member visit.
Generously hosted by Michelle, Pilbara HSE Advisor and Matt, Superintendent of Operations, they provided a detailed overview of the facility’s operations and infrastructure.
Qube owns and operates the inhaul operations, with the facility handling over 420 loaded road trains per day.
These services cater to junior miners such as Atlas Iron, Consolidated Minerals and Mineral Resources. The materials are then efficiently transferred via conveyors to the shiploader and then loaded onto the vessels. The facility handles approximately 2 million tonnes of material each month, supported by a dedicated workforce 100% residential staff members and a skilled maintenance team. Fantastic to watch the process up and close and learn how they service the junior miners in the region.
