Record Turnout at 2024 Port Hedland Annual Economic Forum Drives Business Opportunities and Regional Growth
Port Hedland, 13th November 2024 – The 2024 Port Hedland Economic Forum, held on November 13th, saw a record turnout of over 250 attendees from across the region. The event, organised by the Port Hedland Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PHCCI), provided a vibrant platform for small to medium businesses in the region to explore new opportunities, gain valuable insights, and connect with key industry players.
Held at the Wanangkura Stadium, the 2024 Hedland Economic Forum featured an exciting new exhibition space showcasing 25 custom designed booths, fostering networking and engagement. Key sponsors, including principal partner BHP and event partner the Town of Port Hedland, along with a range of other sponsors, supported the event, ensuring its success and broad reach.
The packed program featured over 20 high-calibre speakers who delivered a range of presentations covering a variety of topics, including project updates, development plans, procurement opportunities, and inspiring local business success stories. Attendees were given an opportunity to hear directly from industry leaders and government representatives about upcoming projects and initiatives that will have a significant impact on the region’s economic future.
In particular, the 2024 Hedland Economic Forum underscored the importance of collaboration between government, major industry players, and local businesses, emphasizing the role of small to medium enterprises (SMEs) in the continued growth and diversification of the Pilbara economy.
