Port Hedland BHP WA Community Team Hosts Coffee Catch-Up at the Web Hub

It was of great interest to discover that BHP’s new global CEO, Brandon Craig, was a former resident of Hedland when he worked for BHP’s WA iron ore division. It is exciting to have someone with an intimate understanding of our community driving one of our major stakeholders in town.

It was also a great opportunity for our members to receive updates on some of the key liveability projects being driven by BHP currently, including;

• The redevelopment of the Esplanade Hotel, that will move out of the demolition phase in July.

• The parkland development at the old Pier Hotel site, aiming to be completed in July.

• The $2M artificial reef, which will be the largest artificial reef in the southern hemisphere, that will deployed to site in late 2026.

The team were also able to share some insights on their long-term housing development projects at Elements Estate and Dempster Street, that will further grow our community.
