Hedland’s Big Pitch is back in 2026 — your chance to turn a powerful business idea into reality.

Delivered by the Port Hedland Chamber of Commerce and Industry and proudly supported by BHP Western Australia, this exciting program helps local entrepreneurs and businesses develop their ideas through mentoring, coaching and live pitching opportunities — with the chance to win $20,000 to bring it to life.

We’re looking for ideas that:

Respond to an economic need in Hedland

Enhance liveability and quality of life

Create local employment opportunities

Drive innovation or support industry growth

Up to 10 contenders will be selected for the program and will pitch to a judging panel and live audience at Big Pitch Night, where the Top 3 finalists will be determined.

These finalists will then pitch live at the Hedland Economic Forum, with the winner decided by a combined judges’ score and Forum audience vote.
