Got a new business idea? A new service? Or a growth opportunity for your existing business?
Hedland’s Big Pitch is back for 2026.
Delivered by the Port Hedland Chamber of Commerce and Industry and proudly supported by BHP Western Australia, Hedland’s Big Pitch provides local entrepreneurs and business owners with the opportunity to develop, refine and present innovative ideas that will contribute to Hedland’s future.
What’s Involved?
- Submit an application outlining your business idea, service or growth opportunity
- Up to 10 contenders will be selected to participate in a tailored Business Readiness Program, including mentoring, coaching and professional development
- Contenders will pitch their ideas at Hedland’s Big Pitch Night to a panel of judges, where the Top 3 finalists will be selected
- The Top 3 finalists will then pitch live on stage at the Hedland Economic Forum in front of business leaders, industry representatives and the wider community
- The overall winner will be decided by audience vote and awarded $20,000 to help bring their idea to life
Eligibility Requirements
Your business idea, service or growth opportunity must align with at least one of the following objectives:
- Respond to an identified economic need in Hedland
- Enhance liveability and quality of life in the region
- Create new employment opportunities
- Drive innovation or support local industry growth
Whether you’re launching a new business, expanding an existing one, or introducing a new concept, Hedland’s Big Pitch is your opportunity to take the next step.
