Meet the Speaker – Women of the Pilbara Forum 2025
Join us at the Women of the Pilbara Forum to hear from Julie Rose, Founder of Emotional Etchings , Art Therapist & Family Counsellor.
We asked Julie a few questions in the lead-up to the Forum:
I have called the Pilbara home for 14 years. In that time, it has become more than just a place I live — it’s where I’ve built my life, my work, and my sense of purpose.
My passion for the Pilbara comes from living here and truly becoming part of its story. This region has a way of getting into your heart — from the breathtaking landscapes to the warmth and resilience of the people. I’ve seen firsthand the challenges our communities face, and I’ve also witnessed the strength that comes from connection and support. That’s what drives me in my work as an art therapist, play therapist, and family counsellor — helping people find their voice, heal from life’s hurts, and rediscover their own strengths. It’s deeply rewarding to know that the work I do can make a real difference in the place I proudly call home.
I’m honoured to be part of Women of the Pilbara 2025 because it celebrates the diversity, strength, and leadership of women in our region. It’s a chance to share stories that inspire, to shine a light on the incredible work being done by women in so many fields, and to connect with others who are equally passionate about making a difference in our communities.
