We asked Kenleigh a few questions in the lead-up to the Forum:
How long have you been in the Pilbara?The Pilbara has always been home, I was born here, grew up here, and now I’m raising my family here.
When you live your whole life in a town, you don’t just work here, you live with the outcomes of every decision (which can be tricky at times!).
Where does your passion for the Pilbara come from? Tell us what drives you to do what you do.I want people to get a fair go and for my kids to grow up seeing successful Aboriginal businesses as normal, not rare.
What drives me is proving that capability already exists here, we just need the right backing to show it.
Why are you excited to be part of Women of the Pilbara 2025?Because strong Pilbara women have been doing the hard work for years, often behind the scenes.
This forum finally gives us a platform to be seen, heard, and honest about what it really takes to build something here.
